Punta Cana.- With an initial investment of 15 million dollars, the firms Sol Melia, Anta Empresas and ProInversion announced construction of the commercial center Palma Real, on a surface of 42 thousand square meters, which will make it the most expansive commercial infrastructure in the tourism zone of the eastern region.

The new project, in its initial phase, will have 60 shops and over 600 parking spaces, with a commercial area of over 10 thousand square meters.

It will also lodge international premium store chains in the areas of food and beverages, textiles, hardware articles, and furniture.

Palma Real Shopping Center is scheduled to operate as of the last trimester of the year, and projects to become the most important shopping mall of the region.

“It will be an excellent meeting point of the Bavaro-Punta Cana tourism pole that currently is availed with approximately 27 thousand rooms, lodging close to a million and one-half visitors per year, and has 48,000 residents,” said Federico Ortega, president of Anta Empresas.
