Capello to quit England after Euro 2012
    Japan Herald
    Thursday 9th September, 2010
    (IANS)

Fabio Capello confirmed Thursday he will quit as England manager after Euro 2012.

The 64-year-old was heavily criticised after England's disappointing World Cup campaign, but two wins at the start of Euro qualifying, and the lack of an obvious alternative, have raised thoughts he may extend his contract, which expires in summer 2012.

Asked whether he would leave after the Euro 2012 finals, Capello replied: 'Absolutely. Yes.' He then repeated the assertion.

'We have to qualify first of course, but after that I will be too old,' he went on. 'I want to enjoy my life as a pensioner.'
